On the 20th of August 2024, a seminar on Student Counseling and Guidance was successfully organized by the Women Development Cell at Government Polytechnic Jamnagar. The event was aimed at providing girls students with essential career guidance and an overview of the various career options available to them as they embark on their academic journey. The seminar was designed to offer clarity and direction to the new students, helping them understand the diverse career paths open to them. The session covered critical aspects such as:

1. Career Exploration: An in-depth discussion on different fields of study and potential career opportunities.

2. Self-Assessment: Encouraging students to assess their strengths, weaknesses, interests, and aptitudes to make informed career choices.

3. Academic Guidance: Providing a roadmap on how to make the most of their time at the polytechnic, including advice on coursework, internships, and co-curricular activities.

4. Skill Development: Highlighting the importance of developing soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, and leadership, alongside technical knowledge.

The students actively participated in the interactive Q&A session, where they sought advice on specific career challenges, educational pathways, and emerging trends in different industries. The seminar was well-received by the Government polytechnic girls’ students, who found it informative and motivating. It successfully provided them with the tools and knowledge.
