To make girls strong and confident against eve teasing and similar threats, a self defense training was organized for girl students in Government Polytechnic, Jamnagar under Women development cell of institute, from 22^nd April to 29^th April, 2022. It was an innovative step taken towards the safety and security of the girls. The training was conducted by Shri Preksha Bhatt, a skilled a skilled counsellor in Women Cell.

On the inauguration day, the Principal Shri A.K.Zala, HOD of General Dept. Dr N.A. Dani, Shri V.R. Thummar and all lady faculties were present and encouraged the students.

The training was imparted for three days for one hour each day to 50 girl students and the various techniques of self defense were taught to girls and they were also trained in other exercises required to develop their physical and mental abilities. The sessions witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and staff, with a focus on empowering women with skills to protect themselves in challenging situations.
