A
Student-Parent Meeting for the 2nd semester Electrical Engineering students of
Government Polytechnic, Jamnagar was held on 4th April 2025 at 2:00 PM in the
Seminar Hall. The event witnessed an enthusiastic response, with the presence
of more than 100 parents.
The
program commenced with a welcome speech by Mr. N. R. Suchak, who highlighted
the key attributes of successful students. He also shared insights about the
remarkable achievements of the Training and Placement Cell of the institute and
the skills and qualities expected by various companies during recruitment.
Following
this, Mr. M. D. Bhanderi, Class In-Charge, addressed the parents and discussed
important issues such as:

Low attendance among some students
·
Measures to improve academic performance
·
The negative impact of excessive mobile
phone usage on learning and concentration
Later,
Mr. V. S. Tejwani, Head of Department (Electrical), provided valuable guidance
and motivation to both students and parents, emphasizing academic discipline
and personal development.
Faculty
members from the Humanities and General Department also participated and shared
their observations and suggestions for overall student development.
Towards
the end of the program, the top 5 students based on the 1st semester results
were felicitated with prizes, acknowledging their hard work and encouraging
others to strive for excellence.
The
meeting concluded with an interactive session, allowing parents to share their
concerns and receive feedback from the faculty. The event proved to be
insightful and collaborative, strengthening the connection between the
institute and the parents.
