An informative online session on “Codeless App Development using MIT App Inventor” was conducted on 8th February 2025, organized by the SSIP Cell of Government Polytechnic, Jamnagar. The session was held via Google Meet and attended by 60 students across departments. The event commenced with a welcome address by Shri R. K. Borsaniya, SSIP Coordinator and Event Convener. In his opening remarks, he introduced the concept of codeless development and highlighted how platforms like MIT App Inventor can empower students—especially beginners—to bring their app ideas to life without requiring deep coding knowledge. He also emphasized how such platforms can serve as useful tools in building SSIP project prototypes. Later the main session was conducted by Shri Chandresh Parmar, who provided a theoretical overview of the MIT App Inventor platform. He explained the visual interface, block-based programming style, and potential application areas. Although no hands-on practice was included in this session, students were encouraged to explore the tool further on their own to enhance their app development skills. The event concluded with closing remarks by Shri R. K. Borsaniya, who thanked the speaker for the insightful session and appreciated the students for their active virtual participation. He encouraged them to start experimenting with MIT App Inventor and use it as a foundation for developing real-world solutions that could be submitted under SSIP 2.0.
